What is positive rap? Music of Hip Hop that is produced with the intent to exhort and inspire it's listening audience to a higher moral disposition. Why is there not more of a balance between positive and negative influence in Hip Hop? Some people say that its because there isn't enough talent in Positive emcees...you believe that? I think there is a deliberate attempt to hold back on artists representing Positive Hip Hop...Rappers like Nas, Ludacris, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco.” These rappers are positive, although “some of them do degrading songs.” it's upbeat and SOMETIMES the songs can be encouraging. Me personally i enjoy both positive and non-positive rapps because it makes me feel good in many different ways. If their were all positive rappers the music industry might not be as strong as it is now. Many of the positive rappers are being put in major films like common, mos def and many more so being a positive rapper have its benifits.................

I think that hip hop should be a positive influence since so many young people are listening to it. We should be responsible when we create music. Music is an art that should inspire, not destroy. One positive rap artist I support is Delon Rap Artist -- he raps about freedom, unity and being proud of roots. We should support more artists like him.
